I appreciate the developers for taking the game to new places and adding a bunch of new features, but for every new feature, the game creates new issues. It gets better, you just gotta give it some time. It might not be the Dynasty Warriors 9 I wanted, and compared to Dynasty Warriors 8 it's a step back, but if you're a fan of Warriors/Musou like me, then give it a try. Even with it's ups and downs, I do respect Omega Force for trying something new. The big open-world is still boring but it's starting to grow on me, especially since it's the only gameworld where I really feel like i'm taking part in a huge battlefield. I like the way the story is handled, kinda interesting to see a new way of telling the same old story in Dynasty Warriors. The combat is kinda smooth and the new combo system is quite nice. But then the patch came out and the framerate got a lot better, and I gave it a few more hours, and oh boy the game got better. The only thing I could think of while playing the first hour was: 'this is not the game I've been waiting for since DW8, almost 5 years ago'. I'm also not a big fan of open-world games anymore, since it's in every damn game nowadays. Horrible frame rate, worst voice acting since DW2, repetitive combat even by Warriors standard and overall a disappointing experience.
